It was built on the site of the dazzling Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will also visit the beautiful Catacombs of Kom el-Shuqafa, distinguished by its distinctive design, which combines Roman, Hellenistic, and ancient Egyptian decorative art.
You will also see Pompey's Pillar, erected in the 3rd century AD to commemorate the famous Emperor Diocletian, the last remaining remnant of the majestic Serapeum temple built by Postumus.
